About the lighthouse:
Cape Florida Lighthouse is the oldest surviving structure in South Florida. Built in 1825 to mark the north entrance to Biscayne Bay, it was decommissioned in 1878 and returned to service 100 years later in 1978. In recent years, the surface of the old tower was renewed, bringing it back to its past glory. The light from its 95-foot tower can be seen 7 miles at sea. Overall lamp height is 24".

Great accent piece for nautical decor. Made of expertly aged solid and heavy wrought iron. Mirror reflects candles many times over.

Another stunning nautical offering is our Port Lantern Lamp. Crafted in sturdy metal, with an antique bronze finish, this classic Port version sports a red glass lens, which in nautical terms indicates port side (the left). Each lantern is permanently mounted onto our five-quarter pine planking, warmly stained with a hand-rubbed finish and wrapped all around in our trademark white nautical rope. Each is specially three-way wired to illuminate the glass lens as a dramatic accent or night light, just the top for table lamp use, or both together. Topped with our classic cream linen shade. Lamp stands about 23" high.
