About the lighthouse:
Situated on the mainland side of Hilton Head Island, this red and white, 90-foot-tall structure is a very popular symbol of the Sea Pines Plantation. Officially named Harbourtown, it is still referred to as Hilton Head Light by many. One of the more recently built lighthouses, Harbourtown/Hilton Head was constructed in 1970. Overall lamp height is 24".
