About the lighthouse:
Located on the Agate and Burlington Bays of Lake Superior, Two Harbors Lighthouse sports a 50-foot-tall square, red brick tower that is attached to a very large square, brick dwelling, as handsome today as when it was built in 1892. In recent years, airport-style beacons replaced the fourth-order Fresnel Lens, and the still-active lighthouse was fully automated in 1981. Overall lamp height is 24".

Its third-order lens had to be retrieved from the ocean floor by divers, when the ship transporting it from Europe sank en route. Sanibel is still active today, emitting its bright beacon to sailors and ships in the Gulf of Mexico. Overall lamp height is 25".
