About the lighthouse:
West Quoddy, with its familiar and friendly red and white stripes, rises just 49 feet, but the lighthouse is situated on land that puts its lens 83 feet above the ocean. The present West Quoddy Head Light was built in 1858 to replace the original light, which was ordered to be built by Thomas Jefferson. The present light was not automated until 1988. Overall lamp height is 24".

Originally built in 1797 and located at the far eastern end of Long Island, New York, Montauk Point Lighthouse was crafted by local artisans of fine-hammered Chatham freestone. In 1860, the tower was rebuilt to increase its overall height to 108 feet, so its light could be seen 19 miles at sea. Overall lamp height is 24".
Fashioned in steel and finished in an antique bronze. Allows three-way lighting for a nightlight on the bottom and table lamp light on the top. The lamp is 25" in height. Shade available in cream or old world map.
